Privacy Policy
Ghost Bike: Endless Escape ("Ghost Bike", "the game") is an Android game where you ride a motorbike through a haunted forest and escape a ghost. This policy explains what data the game uses, who handles it, and how to delete it. The short version: you play without an account, we run no server for the game, and we (Visansoft) do not collect your personal data. The game uses Google services for the leaderboard, ads and the optional Remove Ads purchase, and those services handle data as described below.
What the game uses
| Data | Where it is kept | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your best distance, game settings (steering calibration and sensitivity, sound, graphics, scare level, chosen environment), how many runs you have finished and when you last saw a full-screen ad, and whether you own Remove Ads | Your phone only (the game's private storage) | Remember your progress and settings, and keep full-screen ads infrequent |
| Motion sensor readings (tilt) | Used live on your phone; never stored or sent anywhere | Steering by tilting the phone |
| Your Google Play Games profile (gamer name, avatar, player ID) and your best distance | Google Play Games, under Google's privacy policy | The "Longest Escape" leaderboard |
| Advertising ID, IP address (and the approximate location it implies), device and app information, and how you interact with ads (not after you buy Remove Ads) | Collected by Google's ads SDK on your phone; never by us | Show, measure and protect ads (see Ads) |
| Purchase status of Remove Ads | Google Play; a copy of "owned / not owned" on your phone | Turn ads off for buyers |
The game does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone or location permission. It has no chat and no way to send messages to other players. We never sell personal data.
Leaderboard (Google Play Games)
If you use Google Play Games, the game signs you in automatically (or when you tap the trophy button) and sends your best distance to the "Longest Escape" leaderboard. Other players can see your gamer name, avatar and score there, depending on your Play Games visibility settings. You can play without signing in; your best distance is still saved on your phone. Google handles Play Games data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can change your profile visibility or delete your Play Games data in the Google Play Games settings or at myaccount.google.com.
Ads
Ghost Bike is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the Home, Pause and Results screens, and sometimes a full-screen ad after a run ends (never in your first two runs, at most once every three runs, and at least three minutes apart). Ads never appear while you are riding. Ad content is limited to ratings suitable for teens.
To pick, measure and protect ads, Google's ads SDK on your phone may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (and the approximate location it implies), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy; see How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks before ads are personalised. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for personalised ads. Where the law gives you a choice, you can change it any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices in the game. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Remove Ads purchase
A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns off all ads on every phone that uses the same Google account. Google Play handles the payment, so we never see your card or payment details. The game asks Google Play on your phone whether your account owns the purchase; we keep no purchase records of our own.
Crash and performance reports
The game contains no analytics or tracking SDK of its own. If you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google on your phone, Google Play may give us anonymous crash and performance statistics, which we use only to fix problems.
Who handles your data
Only Google, for Google Play Games, Google AdMob and Google Play billing, under the Google Privacy Policy. Data sent between your phone and Google is encrypted.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Data on your phone stays until you clear the game's storage (Android Settings → Apps → Ghost Bike → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the game.
- Leaderboard scores and your Play Games profile are kept by Google until you delete them in Google Play Games or your Google account.
- Because we hold no personal data on our own systems, there is nothing for us to delete; if you have a request about data Google holds for the game, contact us and we will help.
Children
Ghost Bike contains horror imagery and is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. Important changes will also be noted in the game's store listing.
